One of my favorite, go-to patterns, is Polar Opposites by Plucky Knitter Design. It’s a free pattern and uses two very different weights of yarn, hence the name.
Although the pattern calls for a bulky weight and a lace weight yarn, I used Aran weight and lace weight for my version of this easy, yet very cool-looking cowl.
The Aran weight yarn I used for this project is Julie Spins MCN 180 Aran in colorway Jack in the Pulpit:
The lace weight yarn I used is the lovely Malabrigo Yarn Silkpaca in colorway Lettuce:
Malabrigo Silkpaca is made of 70% Alpaca, 30% Silk.
This cowl looks great, is warm, yet light, and is a quick knit. Makes for great car, tv or knit night knitting. Just knit and purl!
