Just finished knitting this rather long cowl. I got the Baah Lucky 7 Kit from The Loopy Ewe. The Baah Yarns La Jolla colorway for this kit of 7 different colors is Neutral Colors consisting of: Black Pearl, Obsidian, Pecan, Hazelnut, Champagne, Fog and Sage. The kit also included the pattern, Color Play, by Mira Cole. This pattern is not in Ravelry and really is more like a “recipe” where the basics of cast on stitches and set up rows with the two row repeat is given, but no number of rows or when to start the color change. I wrote up some notes on my project page for anyone interested in them.
A generous 133 yards per skein, this cowl came out to be 51″ long (laid flat) and 12″ wide. It can be doubled, tripled or quadrupled around one’s neck to keep them warm. The stitch definition is fabulous and the chevron color changes are simply beautiful in their simplicity.
Although pricey at $77 for the kit (yarn and pattern), it is really worth it to give it a try–especially if you haven’t knitted with Baah Yarn’s La Jolla fingering weight yarns before.
This finished cowl is up for sale or trade to Ravelry members only. See my project page for details!
On to the next project!
I love this…so beautiful…
