When I saw Malabrigo’s beautiful new yarn, Caracol, I wanted to create a pattern using only one skein of this special, super bulky, thick-and-thin yarn. It had to be simple to show off its stained glass look, but still be a fun and fast knit with a unique construction so it could be worn in a variety of ways.
Caracol Cowl is knit top down in the round and then worked flat so it can be worn comfortably. The fabric created is soft and has a lovely drape.
This colorway is Diana*. The colors remind me of stained glass brightly lit up by the sun.
This cowl is for sale in my Etsy shop.
Caracol Cowl can be knit up in an evening and blocked overnight for a quick gift or fast fashionable accessory for the weekend.
I blocked mine flat on a sweater drying rack like this one at Amazon (affiliate link). I just smoothed it out so the lace opened up and the results are wonderful. No pinning required!
Visit your local yarn shop and pick up a skein (or two or three) of this fabulous new yarn from Malabrigo!
