Provençal Shawl

Oh boy! Have I joined the clutch of knitters addicted to brioche!

I signed up for Lesley Anne Robinson’s new Craftsy class, Modern Brioche Lace, shortly after it was announced. Her class project, Provençal, is a beautiful brioche lace shawl designed exclusively for this class.

After completing the Ghost shawl, I decided I was ready to attempt a more complex brioche project. This was the perfect transition!

I used a little less than one-and-a-half skeins each of Madelinetosh Twist Light in colorways Hi/Lo and Dirty Panther, purchased from Eat. Sleep. Knit.

My project notes are here.

I LOVED this class! Lesley Anne Robinson is a friendly instructor and she demonstrates how to knit the brioche stitches clearly, both in English and Continental styles. She made it seem very easy—and it is!

I’m very pleased with the result and highly recommend this class! For a special 50% off this class, visit her website, knitgraffiti, click on the link, then add it to your cart to have the discount applied. But hurry! This great discount expires February 4, 2018!

And, because I don’t wear what I make, my finished shawl is for sale on Etsy here!
