Back in July, I made my friend a shawl for her birthday.

I used Trendsetter Yarns Smoothies in colorway Gulliver’s Travels that I purchased at The Studio Knitting & Needlepoint. They are colors she wears often and the yarn is a mix of holding four strands of laceweight together.

I liked the built-in yarn holder case it comes in since it keeps everything tidy.

Stroma by Susan Ashcroft is an adjustable pattern that worked perfectly with this yarn. I had 880 yards of this DK weight cotton/acrylic yarn, so it made a nice-sized shawl of 80″ long by 44″ deep at the center point.

Tena liked her Stroma and I highly recommend both the yarn and pattern. Find my project notes here.
