Tropical Shores test knit for JST Knitwear Designs

Jen of JST Knitwear Designs asked me if I’d test knit a brioche shawl pattern for her. Of course!

Tropical Shores is an amazing shawl, knit up in DK weight yarn.

I knit mine with La Bien Aimée Merino DK in colorways Drogon and Fauna that my local yarn shop, Yarn Social, managed to get in stock. My project notes are here.

Tropical Shores is a nice, big, cozy shawl and doesn’t get boring because it includes garter, short rows, brioche, and a few yarn-over rows for good measure.

For more information or to purchase the pattern, check it out here.

Crikey, Cindy ! – your must be one of the very best knitters around !
This one .. well, it looks like a bit of a challenge, but you say only that it doesn’t get boring.
    Words almost fail.
Congratters, old bean ! In my opinion, you should be being paid very large sums to knit; but you just go on making these perfect articles and letting us all see what they ought to look like, complete with details on Ravelry that must be immensely useful to those who have the ability to undertake the same projects ..
Long may Orange Smoothie Knits continue to turn out such quality work !

Yes indeed: even you brilliant knitters are reliant on your yarn.
That’s my problem: I can’t buy most of the yarns recommended by patterns I like – not without (a) having to spend the national debt on the shipping and (b) having to wait 2,569 weeks for them to arrive.
        Sighh ..
