Hot Line

Hot Line by MonsterKnits is a triangular-shaped shawl with elements of garter stitch, stripes and fisherman’s rib. If you’re not into brioche, but like the way it looks, fisherman’s rib may be your thing!

This was the perfect pattern to show off my Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere Ode to Spring Set that I purchased from Eat Sleep Knit in Dallas, GA. The set is now sold out, but some individual colors may still be available.

Colors from left to right: In the Dale, Sound the Flute, Sweet and Small, Full of Joy, Lark in the Sky, Crying Dove, Merry Voice. The other items are Yarn Lotto cards, a Dum Dum treat, Yarnathon Felted Forest iron-on patch and Soak mini.

I originally had the far right colorway, Merry Voice, in place of the neutral, but it was not enough contrast, so I switched to the neutral colorway, Crying Dove, to bring down the intensity but have enough contrast. My project notes are here.

Hot Line was a reasonably quick pattern to knit and looks great with gradients or even just two contrasting colors. For more info about the pattern, check it out on Ravelry here.
